USP Immersive Theatre

Project Summary
The USP College lecture theatre is an immersive educational space designed to enrich the student learning experience through modern architectural and technological solutions. It includes a video wall, two rear screens, and a striking stretch ceiling as key design features.
Stretch fabric ceiling
The original octagonal suspended platform has been preserved and transformed into a striking feature ceiling, giving the theatre a distinctive appearance and creating a unique experience for students. The stretch ceiling fabric was chosen for its ability to provide a seamless, uniform light source, along with light dimming capabilities to create different atmospheres and effects during shows and presentations.

Sustainable Materials Selection
The choice of materials, including Barrisol and Forbo, was guided by their strong sustainability credentials. Both are recognized for their durability and recyclability, making them environmentally friendly options. Incorporating these materials not only fulfills the project’s aesthetic and functional requirements but also supports its broader sustainability goals.
